CFSocketSetAddress returns error ‘-1′

Just got this error while debugging an iPhone application. It seemed to be caused from leaving an application at a certain point. I really love the error handling here though.”Try rebooting your device and/or Macintosh”

If this is truly caused because of a CFSocketSetAddress error, I believe it should be more graceful than this. Maybe an application is holding on to a socket/port? One good thing to note, restarting my device fixed it!

One Response to CFSocketSetAddress returns error ‘-1′

  1. Kalgar says:

    Hey.
I have experienced this problem a LOT.
I have found that the quickest way that usually works is to simply disconnect your device, and reconnect it.
Failing that, then start rebooting things :P

Hope this speeds things up a bit for ya, rebooting every time would get annoying after about the third time :)
